Fun in the sun

Yesterday on a unusually sunny evening I took some photos of some silhouette action in Pontefract Park. Its an idea that I think would make great wall art for clients homes so I went with my assistant (willing girlfriend) to try out some moves. 

Of course the fact that I had to self time the camera then jump around endlessly to capture the action made it a little bit more difficult but I think we came away with some good shots. I know one will be going up in our living room.

Cheeky Charity Calendar

When I was asked to shoot a semi nude charity calendar I got quite excited. Then I found out in would be of men. The excitement soon drained away! Ha, but seriously it was good to do something for my local rugby club and to raise funds for charity at the same time. There are a few shots from the shoot below. The calendar will be on sale shortly helping to raise funds for testicular and prostrate cancer. Hats off (or pants) to the lads who took part. Order your copy!.....

Yesterday the curtains came down on another Super League season at Old Trafford for the final of Leeds v St Helens. A pretty hectic day for me. The morning saw me taking part in The Mens Health Survival of the Fittest in Nottingham then straight to Survival of the Fittest photographer at Old Trafford. It does get to be a bit of a ruck at games like this and I do remember hitting a photographer over the head with my lens. Not on purpose, he was just in the way when I swung it hard at his head. Ha ha, I mean oops. Its probably the most occupied I've seen a photographers room for a rugby league game.
